In her role as a senior admissions consultant, Dr. Knecht helps students create stand-out applications and gain acceptance to their best-fit colleges, universities and private schools. She guides students as they plan their academic paths, secure internship and research opportunities, and craft authentic essays for their college and private school applications.

Prior to joining Spark Admissions, Dr. Knecht taught as a member of the faculties of Brown and Brandeis universities. She also served as an academic and career advisor, research consultant, and writing coach.

As a fellowship advisor at Brown, Dr. Knecht supported students applying to nationally competitive awards, including the Rhodes, Marshall, and Fulbright scholarships. In this role, she advised students on their academic courses, resumes, application essays, and interview skills.

Dr. Knecht also writes for the Spark Admissions blog, assists with marketing activities, conducts admissions research, and identifies appropriate academic supports for our students.

Dr. Knecht earned her doctorate from Brown University. She lives in Providence, RI, with her husband, a policy consultant.
